Privacy Policy

Coach Leon, a business registered as a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada ("we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Coach Leon AI-powered coaching application (the "Service"). It also applies when you visit our website, coachleon.ai, or give us your email there. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, Coach Leon is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

Coach Leon is an AI coach. Section 6, our AI Transparency Statement, explains what our AI processes, why, who processes it, and how to withdraw your consent at any time.

1. Eligibility

Coach Leon is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@coachleon.ai and we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account information

• Name;
• Email address;
• Location, age, or gender (if provided).

B. Training and performance data

• Workout data (heart rate, power, pace, distance, elevation, route, etc.);
• Training history, goals, and performance targets;
• Health and wellness data from your devices (such as sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, stress, and body composition);
• Subjective feedback (fatigue, sleep, RPE, notes);
• Injury information, weight, and recovery metrics.

This data may be imported from platforms you connect, such as Intervals.icu or Garmin Connect™. We use it to coach you, never for advertising, and we never sell it.

C. AI conversation data

• Messages you send to the AI coach;
• Training-related notes and goals;
• AI-generated responses.

D. Payment information

When you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and processes your payment details (such as card information and billing address) directly. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your name, the last four digits of your card, subscription status, and transaction records, to manage your subscription and comply with tax and accounting obligations.

E. Technical information

• IP address, browser type, and device information;
• Usage logs;
• How you found us (such as the website or ad that brought you to Coach Leon) and your approximate country, based on your IP address.

This information is used for security, service reliability, and improvement, and to measure our ads and decide who sees them (section 4). We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies and similar technologies: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session, and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (via Vercel) to measure aggregate usage. On our public pages we also use Meta's advertising cookies, and our own cookie that remembers which ad or link brought you to us; these last up to 90 days (section 4).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide personalized training plans and analyze workouts and performance;
• Generate AI-based coaching feedback;
• Sync workouts with the platforms you connect, including sending them to your watch or bike computer;
• Process payments, manage subscriptions, and meet tax and accounting obligations;
• Maintain security, prevent fraud and misuse, and improve the Service;
• Measure our ads and decide who sees them (section 4);
• Communicate with you about your account, subscription, and service changes.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We never share your workouts, health data, or conversations with Leon for advertising.

4. Advertising

We advertise Coach Leon on Facebook and Instagram. To measure our ads and decide who sees them, we use Meta's pixel on our homepage and sign-up page, and we share a few key steps with Meta, such as when you create an account or subscribe, along with a scrambled (hashed) email address, your IP address and browser details. We never share your workouts, health data, or conversations with Leon.

Meta may combine this with what it learns on other websites and uses it as described in its Privacy Policy. In the EU and UK, Meta and we are jointly responsible for collecting information through the pixel; after that, Meta is responsible for its own use. Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

To opt out, email support@coachleon.ai. You can also adjust "Activity from other businesses" in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or block cookies in your browser.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EU/UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

• Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have subscribed to;
• Consent — for processing health-related and other special-category data, which you provide when you choose to enter it; you may withdraw consent at any time;
• Consent — for AI processing of your data, where we ask for it (section 6); you may withdraw it at any time;
• Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, where not overridden by your rights;
• Legitimate interests — to measure our ads and decide who sees them (section 4); you can object at any time (section 4);
• Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

6. AI Transparency Statement

Coach Leon is an AI coach. Artificial intelligence is how the Service builds and adjusts your training plan, writes your workouts, reviews your sessions, prepares your weekly report and replies to your messages. AI processing is therefore necessary to provide the Service's core coaching.

• What AI processes. Your profile (such as your name, sport, experience, training thresholds and goals); your training, health and wellness data, including data imported from platforms you connect; your messages to Leon and any files you attach; and the notes Leon keeps about your training.
• Why. To provide your coaching (replies, training plans, workouts, workout reviews and weekly reports) and to keep the Service safe, for example by screening messages for misuse.
• Who processes it. Our AI service provider (named in section 7), acting as our processor. It processes your data only on our instructions, to return results to us, and does not use it to train its models.
• Your consent. For new accounts, we ask for your explicit consent to AI processing when you set up your account, separately from accepting our Terms of Service. If you connect a Garmin account, we also ask for it on the connection screen.
• Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, in Settings → Legal or by emailing support@coachleon.ai. Withdrawing stops all AI processing of your data from that moment: Leon no longer replies, builds or changes plans, publishes workouts, reviews your sessions or prepares your weekly report. Because AI is how Leon coaches, the coaching features cannot work without it. Withdrawing does not cancel a paid subscription, which you can manage or cancel in Settings. You can give your consent again at any time, and withdrawing does not affect processing that took place before.

7. Data Storage and Infrastructure

Your data is stored and processed by these third parties:

• Supabase;
• Vercel;
• Anthropic;
• Resend;
• Stripe;
• Platforms you choose to connect, such as Intervals.icu and Garmin Connect.

These providers may process data in Canada, the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions where they operate.

8. International Data Transfers

Coach Leon is operated from Canada but is available worldwide. Your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where we, our service providers, or Meta (section 4) operate. These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.

Where we transfer personal data of EU/UK users outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or transfers to countries recognized as providing an adequate level of protection (Canada benefits from a partial adequacy decision for data subject to PIPEDA).

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal and training data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We keep a copy of the training and wellness data imported from platforms you connect so that your coaching history continues even if a connection stops working; disconnecting a platform may delete the data we received from it. You can ask us to delete that copy at any time by contacting support@coachleon.ai. If you delete your account:

• Your personal and training data will be deleted within a reasonable timeframe;
• Information already sent to Meta is kept by Meta under its own policy; deleting your Coach Leon account does not delete it;
• Limited records (such as transaction and tax records) may be retained as required by law;
• Limited technical logs may be kept temporarily for security and fraud prevention.

10. Data Sharing

We share your data only in these cases:

• With the service providers listed in section 7, including our AI service provider to provide your coaching (section 6);
• With Stripe to process payments;
• With Intervals.icu or other platforms you choose to connect;
• With Meta, for advertising (section 4);
• Where required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public;
• In connection with a business transfer (such as a sale of the business), subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your data for money. Apart from the advertising information in section 4, we do not share your data with advertisers.

11. Your Privacy Rights

All users. You may access, correct, delete, or export (receive a copy of) your personal data by contacting support@coachleon.ai, and withdraw your consent to AI processing at any time (section 6).

Canada (PIPEDA). You have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits.

EU / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

United States (e.g. California). Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited information with Meta for advertising (section 4), which some state laws may treat as a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising"; you can opt out as described there. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

12. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Health and Coaching Disclaimer

Coach Leon processes performance and injury-related information to provide training insights. Coach Leon is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice. You are responsible for consulting qualified healthcare professionals regarding injuries, medical conditions, or health decisions.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted within the application or on our website, with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
